So what's my deal, then?

In a Nutshell...

My first job was at an ice cream shop, and the winters can be rather dull . To pass the time and avoid scrubbing baseboards I practiced frosting the cakes and piping roses.

Fast forward through coming of age, falling in love and having children, and you'll find me at Indiana University Northwest slowly earning my BS in CIS/FA, ie, Graphic Design.

It's kind of incredible how much the two have in common, both involve deadlines, budgets and communicating an idea with a set theme. Both require not only meeting with clients but meeting and exceeding their expectations. Both take something Good, and making it Wonderful!

In late 2019 my husband & I relocated to greater Sheboygan, to progress his career as an Executive Chef. We are both so excited for the opportunities and adventures that await us!

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much do cakes cost?

My prices are based on the intensity of the decor, baking is the easy part ) A simple 8" two-layer cake can start at $25, and a five-tier wedding cake can run several hundred. A good rule of thumb is $2.oo per slice for a one tier round or sheet cake, and $4.oo per slice and up for any stacked or sculpted designs. Email me for a quote.

Do you deliver?

I do! Delivery within the greater Sheboygan area is a $10 charge, beyond that is based on mileage.

Do you offer gluten-free?

At this time I do not have any gluten free options on my menu, but am willing to consider on a case by case basis. My buttercream is gluten free!

Your buttercream is outstanding! Can I get the recipe?

Sure, whip sweetened egg-whites to stiff peaks while simultaneously heating simple syrup to 280'F. Slowly drizzle syrup into mixing bowl and whip until no "hot-spots." Add sifted powdered sugar slowly, then room temperature butter, and then vanilla extract. Keep stirring until it looks curdled and you fear that it's ruined. Keep stirring 5 more minutes and it will be perfect. To remove air bubbles stir slow and low until it resembles a bowl full of bridal satin! Store for a few days at room temp, a few weeks in the refrigerator, a few weeks tightly covered in the freezer. Add flavoring as necessary.

Have you always been so awesome?

Um, pretty much, yes. And I can't wait to see what happens next )
